Shri Achyutashtakam Stotram

Shri Achyutashtakam Stotram is a sweet, melodious 8-verse hymn composed by Sri Adi Shankaracharya in praise of Lord Achyuta (Lord Krishna / Vishnu).

The word Achyuta literally means "The Infallible One", "He who never slips from His divine glory", or "He who never forsakes His devotees".

This hymn celebrates Lord Krishna's divine forms, childhood sports in Vrindavan, slaying of demons (Kamsa, Kaliya, Pootana), and protection of Draupadi and the Pandavas. Each verse flows with deep Madhurya Bhakti (sweet devotion).

• Verse 1: I worship Achyuta, Keshava, Rama, Narayana, Krishna, Damodara, Vasudeva, Hari, Madhava, Lord of Gopis, and Ramachandra.
• Verse 2: I worship Achyuta, husband of Satyabhama, worshipped by Radha, abode of Lakshmi, lotus-eyed slayer of Kaliya.
• Verses 3–8: Salutations to Krishna who holds the Conch and Discus, beloved of Rukmini, brother of Balarama, slayer of Kamsa, Kaliya, and Pootana.
• Verse 9 (Phalashruti): Reciting Achyutashtakam grants righteous wealth, family bliss, and Vishnuloka.

Achyutashtakam weaves together the divine names and deeds of Vishnu, Rama, and Krishna:
