Shri Narayana Suktam
Introduction
Shri Narayana Suktam is a sublime Vedic hymn occurring in the Mahanarayana Upanishad (10th Prapata of the Krishna Yajurveda Taittiriya Aranyaka).
While the Purusha Suktam describes Lord Narayana as the Cosmic Being enveloping the macrocosm, the Narayana Suktam reveals Lord Narayana as the indwelling Supreme Self (Antaryamin) seated within the microcosm of the human heart lotus (Hridaya Padma).
It contains the breathtaking visualization of the heart lotus hanging face-down like a lotus bud, within which burns a brilliant, motionless flame of consciousness (Vashva-Archi) no larger than a grain of rice (Nivarashukavattanvi). Seated at the center of that divine flame is Lord Narayana Himself, the Supreme Self (Paramatman).
Benefits of Recitation (Phalashruti)
