Shri Narasimha Kavacham

Shri Narasimha Kavacham (literally meaning "The Armor of Lord Narasimha") is an invincible 25-verse protective stotram found in the Brahmanda Purana, spoken by the supreme devotee Bhakta Prahlada.

Lord Narasimha is the fourth avatar of Lord Vishnu—a terrifying half-man, half-lion manifestation who emerged from a pillar (Sphatika Stambha) at twilight to destroy the tyrant demon Hiranyakashipu and protect His five-year-old devotee Prahlada.

Prahlada composed this Narasimha Kavacha to shield devotees from all forms of danger, wild beasts, black magic, poison, planetary afflictions, and fear of death. It assigns Lord Narasimha's forms to protect every part of the human body.

According to scriptural tradition and verses 16 to 25 of this stotram, daily recitation of Shri Narasimha Kavacham grants the following blessings:

• Absolute Physical and Psychic Protection: Shields against black magic, evil spirits, ghosts, and negative energies.
• Destruction of Enemies and Obstacles: Neutralizes enemies, litigation, and hostile forces.
• Cure of Poison and Incurable Diseases: Neutralizes venomous bites, fever, and chronic illnesses.
• Fulfillment of Desires and Victory: Grants success in all noble undertakings.
• Attainment of Vaikuntha Abode: Cleanses sins and bestows liberation ().
