Spiritual Significance

Narayana Suktam is the ultimate heart meditation:

  1. Heart Lotus Bud: Visualizes the heart lotus hanging face-down like a lotus bud, 12 finger-widths above the navel.
  2. Nivara Shuka Flame: Describes the indwelling flame as slender as a rice awn (Nivarashukavattanvi), golden-yellow and brilliant.
  3. Synthesis of Godheads: Mantra 7 establishes that Narayana in the heart flame is Brahma, Shiva, Hari, Indra, and Supreme Brahman.
